WAVE PATTERNS GENERATED BY FAST BOATS (GRAVITY CASE)

I will first recall properties of gravity waves and the Kelvin construction of the wake of boat showing that the wedge angle should be 19,47 degrees. Then recent findings on narrower wakes will be presented and explained comparing the wavelength of dominant waves to the lengths of the boat.
