WAVE PATTERN GENERATED BY SMALL OBSTACLE

As the dispersion relation of capillary-gravity waves is more complex, two cusps in the wake of small obstacles can be observed. Experimental results in a swimming pool and in a tank will be explained by the comparison of 3 lengths: the capillary length, the diameter of the obstacle and the wavelength of the dominant waves.
